In 40 years, never has a jackpot been as high as the one that will be offered on Saturday in the next 6/49 draw.
The jackpot will be $66 million. The previous record was set on October 17, 2015, when the grand total amounted to $64 million, according to a press release from Loto-Québec.
“During Saturday’s draw, Lotto 6/49 will offer a jackpot of $66 million for the first time. In addition, the winner of the guaranteed prize will have a one in two chance of winning!” indicated the Executive Vice-President and Head of Lottery Operations at Loto-Québec, Isabelle Jean.
This is explained by the fact that the abacus will only contain a white ball worth $1 million as well as the Golden Ball, worth $66 million.
The classic jackpot of $5 million will also be at stake. It was won in the Laurentians on September 20.
Remember that in 2022, Loto-Québec awarded 120 prizes of $1 million or more in the lottery.
