80 Rafale planes bought from France by the United Arab Emirates for 17 billion euros. A contract for which Emmanuel Macron made the trip, Friday, December 3, in Dubai.
This was one of the main reasons for Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates: a heavy contract, 80 Rafale planes for 17 billion euros, “most of our history”, specifies Guillaume Daret, live on site for France 3. An agreement welcomed by Emmanuel Macron: “He explains that there will be more benefits in terms of jobs, in economic matters in France, than the famous contract of Australian submarines”, reports the journalist.
In Doha in Qatar, Friday evening December 3, Emmanuel Macron must notably discuss the fight against terrorism. “A State often accused of being too lax with certain individuals who finance terrorist organizations”, specifies Guillaume Daret. The French president will end his visit with Saudi Arabia. A trip that arouses criticism from several NGOs: Emmanuel Macron is the first to meet the Saudi Crown Prince after the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.
