A reckless driver injures four people in Paris after refusing to comply

A reckless driver who was driving against the traffic in central Paris on Wednesday, August 14, hit two pedestrians, a cyclist and a person on a scooter after refusing to comply, France Bleu Paris learned from the police, confirming information from AFP.

Around 2 p.m., in the 1er district of the capital, police officers spotted a vehicle driving in the wrong direction. When they wanted to carry out a check, the driver refused to comply and fled. In its course, the vehicle hit two pedestrians, a cyclist and a person holding a scooter, said the police source, without giving details on the seriousness of the injuries.

The man was finally arrested later in the afternoon, police said. His profile is still unknown at this stage. An investigation has been opened.
