The resurgence of Covid-19 is notably linked to the immune decline of the population and to variants, which are more resistant to antibodies.

Covid-19 is not yet ancient history. As the summer holidays approach, suspicions of infections have been increasing slightly for several weeks. A visible increase in hospitals more than four years after the start of the pandemic. Several signals show increasing circulation of the virus. More than 52% of trips to the emergency room in one week or to SOS-Médecins, with an increase in consultations of 51%.

At the beginning of June in France, Covid-19 was talked about again after the concert of singer Taylor Swift, transformed into a giant cluster. On social media, fans showed off their positive tests or encouraged other “Swifties” to get tested. This increase is linked to the immune decline of the population and also to variants which are more resistant to antibodies. As four years ago, barrier gestures in the presence of vulnerable people, or in busy places, remain in order.
