A special gathering in memory of the victims of the earthquake in Morocco and the floods in Libya will be held Sunday evening at Montmorency College, in Laval.
“This vigil is a testament to our unity as a community and our commitment to supporting those in need. Together, we will pay tribute to the victims of the earthquake in Morocco and the floods in Libya, thus showing that solidarity transcends borders,” said one of the organizers of the event, Rachid Najahi, on Sunday.
Politicians from three levels of government as well as the Moroccan ambassador to Canada are expected at the event which is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
