It’s a queue that we are more used to seeing in front of stores during sales. But in Evron (Mayenne), dozens of people lined up for several hours in front of the medical center to get an appointment with the doctor. A situation that exasperates the residents. “We do not have a choice, blows a patient. My doctor has retired so I have no one”and one second to add “my dog ​​is treated, it’s demoralizing, people can’t take it anymore”.

Newly installed, Dr. Romaric André did his best to see as many people as possible. “I took all these people to explain to them in the future how we were going to organize to take care of them”, he explains. But when it closed, more than 50 people had not been examined. For its part, the town hall is doing its best to attract new practitioners. It will also inject 70,000 euros over two years to house them. “A real estate project is underwayexplains Joel Balandraud, mayor of Evron. Offices will also arrive in October to equip the medical centre.”, underlines the aedile. Despite these efforts, and the arrival of three practitioners in 2022, the authorities announce that 1,800 people will remain without a doctor in Evron.
