A Quebec touch for The Island of Swedish Love

A foreign version of the island of love will be embellished with a Quebec touch. The television installations imagined and configured by Productions Déferlantes are used by the Swedish adaptation, currently being filmed in the Dominican Republic.

The news was announced by the Quebec company on Monday morning. In partnership with ITV Studios, the holder of the international format, Productions Déferlantes, has put its villa in Las Terrenas, in the Dominican Republic, at the service of Swedish competitors.

This “turnkey” offer allows the Swedish team to take advantage of the sets, technical installations, cameras and shots concocted in Quebec. “It’s a unique showcase to promote and promote the skills and creativity of Quebec artisans on the international market,” said executive producers Benoît Clermont and Nancy Charest, through a press release.

Discussions are “currently underway” with other countries, says Productions Déferlantes. The company’s goal is to host further filming of the romance reality show format Love Island.

Filming of new episodes of the island of love will start as soon as the Swedish team leaves the villa. Led by Olivier Dion, the third season of the show will be broadcast in the spring on TVA and TVA+.
