One of the Quebec police officers identified in the videos circulating since last week would have committed criminal offenses, according to the internal police investigation. His case has just been transferred to the Bureau of Independent Investigations (BEI).
According to our information, the actions in question are in connection with the third and fourth videos released last week: the one in which we see an agent pushing a man onto a car while threatening him and the one filmed at the Le District restaurant showing a constable projecting with forces a man on a wall.
On Monday, the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) said in a statement that investigators from its internal investigation module had “reasonable grounds” to believe that a criminal offense had been committed. However, it was the Ministry of Public Security (MSP) that made the decision to transfer the file to the BEI.
the @SPVQ_police briefed me on allegations of possible criminal offenses in two videos that circulated. I asked the @BEIQc to examine them, as provided for in the Police Act. Investigations by the Police Ethics Commissioner are continuing.

Remember that the content of the other two videos (the first two) is for its part examined by another organization: the Police Ethics Commissioner.
More details will follow.
