More than 35 degrees in the parking lot

“It was about 40 degrees in the car. The dog was there for at least two hours without water. He was in critical condition. He could not breathe and was suffocating”says Joseph Segura, the mayor of Saint-Laurent-du-Var. “Security officers and my municipal policemen broke the rear window to free him and took him to the toilet to refresh him with water”, details the chosen one. The dog is better, he was handed over to his owner who was nevertheless the subject of a report from the municipal police for animal abuse.

“This story ends well but it should serve as a lesson to us. Do not leave animals in cars in this heat”, recalls Joseph Ségura. “They suffer like us from these high temperatures.”
