This was announced exclusively on Friday morning by the magazine variety on its website.

The show, in the form of a high-level competition, will be called 007’s Road to a Milliona direct reference to the prize of one million English pounds (around 1.3 million US) awarded to the winners.

According to variety, the eight-episode series will be filmed around the world, in various locations associated with footage from the 25 official films of the James Bond franchise. Competitors, in teams of two, will have to pass physical tests, but also answer questions to move on to the next stage.

Recall that Amazon recently acquired MGM studios for an estimated sum of 8.5 billion US dollars. This allows Amazon to get its hands on a catalog of 4000 films, including all James Bond.

According to variety, the project to develop this reality show began four years ago. The British production house 72 movies is the main producer.
