A former member of the government targeted by justice. The Paris prosecutor’s office announced to AFP on Friday March 18 that a preliminary investigation for “moral harassment” had been opened on Thursday about the former Secretary of State for Priority Education Nathalie Elimas.

Entering the government in July 2020, she left it on March 5, 2022, during a mini-reshuffle. She had been the subject of an administrative investigation by the General Inspectorate for Higher Education and Research (IGESR), which had resulted in a report to the courts, received on March 10 by the Paris prosecutor’s office.

The administrative inquiry, opened in January, concerned “on the human resources functioning of Mrs. Elimas’ cabinet”had explained the Ministry of National Education, while the office of the Secretary of State explained that it was a question of “fshed light on possible difficulties related to labor relations within the firm”.

On March 12, Nathalie Elimas announced filed a complaint for “slanderous denunciation”considering himself “smeared and slandered in the media which take up accusations seriously undermining my honor and my dignity”. She remains a member of Val d’Oise.
