The Black Spruce Prayer will bring together reflections read by the late anthropologist during the show It’s crazy…, broadcast on ICI Première. His former radio accomplice, Jean-Philippe Pleau, signs the preface.

The collection will follow The cigarette lighter of the black Chrysler and to Coffee with Mary, two titles by Serge Bouchard also published under the Papiers collés banner. “We find the same poetic sensibility and the same mocking wisdom”, underlines the publishing house.

Readers will rediscover the themes dear to the author: “nature, human solidarity, friendship with Aboriginal people, the oddities of today’s world, beauty, melancholy”.

Serge Bouchard died of cardiac arrest on May 11, 2021, at the age of 73.
