A municipal police officer from the commune of Schiltigheim (Bas-Rhin), in Alsace, was injured Monday April 15 after being hit by a 17-year-old minor during an urban rodeo, franceinfo learned from a police source, confirming information from Figaro.

According to this police source, these municipal police officers were monitoring the exit of a school when they saw a young man arrive on a dirt bike doing wheelies. Despite their requests for the young person to stop, the minor continued on his way and hit a police officer who had intervened on the road.

On a video relayed on social networks by the secretary general of Alliance Police Fabien Vanhemelryck, we see the police officer being violently hit, falling to the ground, just like the young person on a motocross bike, who gets up then runs off.

According to the police source, this 17-year-old minor was arrested a few streets away and placed in police custody. He is unknown to the courts but was riding an “unapproved” motocross bike. The municipal police officer hit, for his part, was hit in the knees and was hospitalized.
