The Warhol Foundation is selling polaroids, drawings and lithographs of the Pope of Pop Art. The highlight of this sale open to all: a snapshot (see below) of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger in a strange posture, dated 1977. Starting price: 10,000 dollars.

Mick Jagger tongue to tongue with a stranger: This rare and improbable Polaroid shot taken by Andy Warhol in 1977 is currently up for auction (starting price: $10,000) by the Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Visuals).
This unique Polaroid is part of a photo session made by the Pope of Pop Art in 1977 for the album cover Love You Live of the Rolling Stones. “A large number of photos from this session showing band members touching other people’s tongues or biting each other were incorporated into the cover design, creating a surprising and slightly controversial collage that coincidentally reflected the feelings between the band members during the making of the record“, writes the Warhol Foundation.

This sale, open to everyone for another six days, is “a unique opportunity to acquire a Polaroid from Warhol’s personal collection“, writes the foundation again. Because in addition to this Polaroid of Jagger presented as the highlight of the sale, this one offers unique photos of many personalities who gravitated around the artist, such as Grace Jones, Debbie Harry, Jackie Curtis, Keith Haring, Dennis Hopper or Kenzo Takada.
Also for sale: a set of vintage posters from the collection of Andy Warhol (Mohamed Ali, Joe Dallesandro etc.) several of his drawings, as well as lithographs.
The proceeds from this sale will benefit the Warhol Foundation, founded in 1987 with the mission of promoting the visual arts, supporting works of an experimental nature and from historically marginalized communities.
