It was on November 23 that the National Assembly adopted the “Aging Well” bill at first reading.

The “Aging Well” bill contains several sections, including one on inclusive housing. (shared lifestyle freely chosen by elderly or disabled people). This is in line with the start-up Alogia Care, which makes supporting seniors and caregivers who want to stay at home its priority, with technological solutions.

Aging is not homogeneous depending on age, explains Alexandre Petit, founding president of the ALOGIA group and president of the Gérontopôle Nouvelle Aquitaine. On the other hand, what we know is that it always follows the same pattern: we age, then there is a rupture event which massively accelerates the loss of autonomy and it is at the time of this event that ‘we intervene in France, with a very curative approach…

Our vision is that tomorrow, we know the answer to help as many people as possible age well at home, it is prevention, that is to say intervening earlier before this disruptive event, to install solutions to postpone or cancel it, and therefore gain years of healthy life at home, and that is the objective of Alogia Care.”

For the first time in Europe, there will be more people over 65 than those under 15

Alogia Group, of which Alogia Care is a part, is a company with a silver economy mission: a digital platform has been set up to install “aging well” solutions for seniors and caregivers. Behind the platform, occupational therapists, state-certified health professionals, who make calls and home visits.

The DPA or Autonomy Performance Diagnostic is the reference tool to start finding solutions. How the DPA score can be improved through personalized solutions.

Papyhappy and Alogia Care combine their expertise to work for the well-being of seniors.

In January 2022, 21% of French people were at least 65 years old. More than nine out of ten of these seniors still live at home. The French Public Health agency specifies that more than 1.4 million of them are dependent.
