A fictitious testing system has been denounced by The chained Duck, and dismantled by the authorities. Several pharmacists would have diverted more than three million tests, paid for by public funds. One of them, indicted in Paris, would have embezzled 18 million euros, in a few months. Between the months of September and December 2021, this pharmacist billed several million fictitious antigen tests to Health Insurance, which he was reimbursed.

In addition to these fraudulent declarations, the Parisian pharmacist would also have falsified several thousand invoices to doctors. “He had a certain amount of information on these health professionals, which he billed as if he were delivering the antigen tests to them, when he did not deliver them”, explains Béatrice Clairaz, member of the Union of Community Pharmacists. The pharmacist was charged and then placed in detention. The Order of Pharmacists has instituted civil proceedings.
