(Montreal) A 26-year-old pedestrian is resting in a Montreal hospital after being hit by a car early Friday morning in the east of the city.

In the middle of the morning, the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) indicated that it had been informed that the young man would be saved, even if he had suffered significant injuries.
The driver of the car, a 23-year-old man, was not injured.
The impact occurred around 5:40 a.m. on rue de Marseille, near the intersection of boulevard de l’Assomption.
According to what the SPVM learned, the pedestrian was crossing rue de Marseille to the south when he was hit by the car traveling on the same street, to the west.
A security perimeter was erected to allow SPVM investigators to shed light on the exact circumstances of the event.
