The last train between Paris and Clermont-Ferrand, Friday January 19, broke down north of Nevers, in Nièvre, reports France Bleu Pays d’Auvergne, which specifies that around 1,000 travelers find themselves in the dark, since there is no more electricity. The heating no longer works. The SNCF mentioned a locomotive problem and announced at 11:15 p.m. that the delay was estimated at nearly six hours.

Leaving Paris-Bercy at 6:57 p.m., the Intercités train was due to arrive in Clermont-Ferrand at 10:31 p.m. The SNCF plans an arrival during the night at 4:21 a.m. The train is currently being repaired between Montargis, in Loiret, and Nevers, in Nièvre.

The railway company announces that the Red Cross is on site to distribute hot drinks and survival blankets. Another train is on its way to pick up the passengers and complete the journey. His arrival at the broken down train is scheduled for 12:30 a.m.

Another delayed train

This incident caused disruptions on another train operating the link between Paris-Bercy and Nevers. Having left at 7:02 p.m., he was due to arrive at 9:33 p.m. in Nevers. He will be 6 hours late with an expected arrival at 3:33 a.m. It is currently stuck at Montargis station without any problem with electricity or heating.
