Casino sold 121 department stores out of 287

The history of the Casino brand was born in Saint-Étienne 52 years ago. It was the very first hypermarket in the Loire, where it was possible to do your shopping and eat in the cafeteria. It is the ancestor of fast food, where you can have a meal at any time and at a low price. Faced with serious financial difficulties, Casino sold 121 out of 287 department stores to its competitors Auchan, Carrefour and Les Mousquetaires. The sale of the remaining 166 stores is scheduled for May 31 and July 1.
