When fiction meets reality. Two directors will film Sunday evening April 24, the reunion of two brothers, who have not seen each other for five years, and who will attend together, with all that opposes them, the election of the new president or the new President of the Republic.

Last rehearsals for a shoot that is a technical feat. This one-hour film will be interpreted, produced and broadcast live on Sunday April 24 at 7 p.m. online. The story: after five years of estrangement, two brothers that everything opposes find themselves on the evening of the second round of the presidential election. 80 people are mobilized on this fiction, shot in a village in Lot-et-Garonne. Each position of the actors, each camera movement is planned to the nearest centimeter.

For actors Julien Campani and Félix Moati, this is a first. The technicians position themselves over the sequences, everything is done without a safety net. “The only room for improvisation that we leave is to bounce back on the climate in general and also on the electrical tension that there will be that evening of the elections”, says Cosme Castro, co-director of “Jour de Gloire”. An election experienced from a living room, where the actors will be transposed to several eras. Scenery should change in minutes. The end of the film “Day of Glory” will be written at 8 p.m., on the Arte website, depending on the result of the election.
