A new website to prevent sexual exploitation

Five years after the creation of the AIMER program, presented in schools in Quebec, the Réseau Enfant-Secours launched a website aimed at preventing runaways and sexual exploitation.

It includes advice and activities accessible to parents, young people aged 8 to 13 and school staff. Training courses set up by the organization are also offered to professionals.

Since runaways account for the majority of youth disappearances in Quebec, the AIMER program aims to prevent them, as well as the sexual exploitation that sometimes results from them, by focusing in particular on self-esteem, the ability to set limits, knowledge of healthy relationships and the fight against gender stereotypes.
