a new video held by David Hallyday could have changed the whole situation

Invited on November 21, 2023, on the set of Europe 1, to promote his book “Best Album”, David Hallyday confided to Pascal Praud, a few days ago that he had had during Johnny’s lifetime “just a conversation one day, a long time ago”
on family heritage. And according to his friend and ex-producer Cyril Viguier, quoted this November 30, 2023 by VSDthere is even a video that was never released!

“This video could have been used during the trial but David did not want to disclose it

Indeed, according to this privileged witness, David Hallyday would have filmed a father-son interview in the early 2010s, in Marnes-la-Coquette. Cyril Viguier details: “David asks Johnny the questions. All subjects are discussed, including that of inheritance.” And to add: “This video could have been used during the trial but David did not want to disclose it. It is a facet of his personality that we do not know but which comes through in his book, his extreme discretion. He always fled the press and buzz.

Instead, the big brother of Laura, Jade and Joy assured a few days ago about this meeting: Me I told him what I thought about the fact that he had worked all his life, and then that it belonged to him and that I didn’t need anything. So it was in a conversation. But otherwise, no, we talked more about the joys of life, and what we could possibly do together afterwards and all that. But it passed like that quickly one day.”

As a reminder, in February 2018, just a few months after the death of Johnny Hallyday, an inheritance war broke out between Laeticia Hallyday and Laura Smet. The latter, supported by her older brother David, had taken legal action to cancel their father’s fourth will, drawn up in 2014 in France, only a few lines long, which disinherited them.

Donation to the last living person

Before this text, Johnny had decided on a solution consistent with French law: a “donation to the last living person” signed with his wife Laeticia, who provided that a third of his personal and artistic heritage would return to his widow, while the rest would be distributed between his four children, David, Laure, Jade and Joy.
