In Italy, a new drama. At least 66 migrants went missing on Tuesday June 18 in the Mediterranean Sea after the sinking of a boat near the coast of Calabria, in the south of the country. Twelve people were rescued. But one of them died. “When we arrived in territorial waters from Turkey, the engine broke down”explains Wafa Ramin, one of the survivors, to Rai Uno.
In Germany, democracy weakened. According to a report, the country is experiencing a rise in violence, anti-Semitism and cyberattacks. “Our democracy is strong, but it is under pressure. We must protect ourselves from extremism at home and abroad”, warns Interior Minister Nancy Faeser. In the last European elections, the far-right AfD came first in several territories of the former East Germany. In Great Britain, avoid abstention. Two weeks before the early legislative elections, thousands of voters were not yet registered in Manchester, in the north of England.
