A new prefect appointed in the Landes

A new prefect has been appointed in the Landes: it is about Françoise Tahéri, 54, current prefect of Orne, according to a decision taken in the Council of Ministers on Wednesday January 12 and published on the Elysee website. Françoise Tahéri will therefore soon leave Alençon, where she was appointed in 2020, to settle in Mont-de-Marsan. It replaces, in the Landes, Cecile Bigot-Dekeyzer, who is appointed prefect of Ain. Arriving in the Landes in 2020, Cécile Bigot-Dekeyzer notably had to manage the health crisis linked to the Covid-19 epidemic and two bird crisis epidemics during the winter of 2020/2021 and then during this winter of 2021/2022.

Françoise Tahéri, married, mother of two children, graduated with a master’s degree in philosophy and a law degree, notably worked at the Ministry of the Interior. She became Prefect for the first time in 2020, when she was appointed to Orne.
