a new pop rock album from the band from Haute-Savoie

A pop tinged with a rock with electro, magnetic colors, cut for the stage: it is with these few terms that the Bear’s Towers describe themselves. After two years of absence, the four musicians from Haute-Savoie return with Self Portrait. A third album refined during six months in the studio which they unveiled on the stage of the Atelier de Cluses. “There is the whole family, all the friends, we are a bit at home”, reassures Aurélien the singer, before throwing himself into the bear pit.

With this third album, the Bear’s Towers have explored their inspirations to the maximum without any limits. A total emotion that they wish today to share with the public. “We want to break everything and make them travel, put them in the same states we experienced when we created this album. The tears, the anger, the energy, the passion”, says the singer again.

Self Portrait est composed of twelve titles that some fans have already been able to discover on Prismtheir previous EP released in 2020. To open Self Portraitthe piece Hometown gives an overview of the tone of the album.

Bear’s Towers is the story of four friends (Aurélien, Olivier and the twins Tommy and Nathan) who met on the benches of college in Haute-Savoie and on the slopes of the skate park. Baccalaureate in hand, the four friends meet to play together.

After a very folk start in 2016, they evolve towards electro pop inspired by the music of Woodkid, Her or Bon Iver. The quartet allows itself everything. From the lyrical flight of Aurélien’s voice to the very organic impulses of the guitars and drums, passing through the electro sounds of the synth, thehe aesthetics of Bear’s Tower is intended to be very global and far from any form of elitism.

In the Arve valley, the bear and its towers walk in perfect balance. “Nobody takes over, there is no leader, we are just six friends with the technicians and we do something together”, notes Aurélien.

“Self Portrait” by Bear’s Towers can be heard from September 30, 2022 on all platforms and to be discovered in concert on the next dates: au Supersonic (Paris) on September 29, 2022, at MJC Chablais on October 1 and at Ninkasi in Lyon on October 4.
