It’s not yet the dreaded heatwave but the elements are already complicating the organization of the Paris Olympic Games. The rehearsal of a convoy of boats which will parade on the Seine on the evening of the opening ceremony, July 26, with delegations of athletes on board, was postponed due to floods which raised the level of the river, as revealed The Parisian Tuesday April 2, information confirmed to France Télévisions by the Organizing Committee (COJO).
This test, which only concerns some of the boats, is made impossible by the high volume of precipitation that fell on the capital, which causes a flow rate that is too different from that expected at the end of July. A new adventure for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, after the halving of the number of spectators, announced on January 31 by the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin.
