A new meeting around the immigration bill is underway on Sunday December 17 in Matignon, around the Prime Minister, franceinfo learned from Matignon.
Around Elisabeth Borne will be present the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, Franck Riester, the minister responsible for relations with Parliament, the Renaissance deputy Florent Boudié, general rapporteur of the text, Sacha Houlié, the president of the Law Commission the National Assembly, which will chair the Joint Commission, as well as the majority deputies responsible for the immigration text.
The CMP meets Monday, December 18 at 5 p.m., behind closed doors to decide on a common version of the text, after negotiations between the executive and the right started on Wednesday, December 13.
