The Laval Rocket signed forward Brett Stapley to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

This is a one-way deal with the American Hockey League (AHL).
The 23-year-old skater has played for the University of Denver in the NCAA for the past four seasons. In 2021-2022, the center player hit the target 18 times and provided 25 assists for 42 points in 41 games.
Stapley was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the seventh round (190th overall) of the 2017 draft. The BC native is 5’10”, weighs 173lbs and shoots from the right.
