The resumption of the epidemic is strong in Germany. Across the Rhine, the authorities are even talking about a fourth wave. The German Minister of Health has issued a warning message to unvaccinated people.
“It’s a massive new epidemic”, according to the German Minister of Health who mentions a “fourth wave”. A new increase in contaminations is hitting the unvaccinated across the Rhine head-on. The country recorded 20,000 new cases in 24 hours and more than 40% of hospitalizations in one week. The indicators are worse than a year ago, when at the time there was no vaccine yet. The vaccination rate is considered too low by the authorities, with 66% of the population having received two doses.
As a result, vaccinodromes that had been closed must be reopened. German Chancellor Angela Merkel evokes the return of restrictions only for the unvaccinated, with a reinforced health pass in some regions. It will no longer be possible for the Germans to take tests, even paying, to enter certain public places such as restaurants, but they will have to be vaccinated or cured.
