Lawyer Carine Durrieu-Diebolt announced to AFP on Sunday February 25 that she had transmitted to the Paris prosecutor’s office the complaint from a decorator targeting Gérard Depardieu. She thus confirms information from Mediapart, according to which she had sent this complaint on Friday by registered mail, and on Saturday by email, for acts of sexual assault, sexual harassment and sexist insults. Asked by AFP, the Paris prosecutor’s office was unable to confirm the filing of the complaint and Gérard Depardieu’s counsel did not immediately comment on all of the facts reported by the investigation site.
According to Carine Durrieu-Diebolt, the facts date back to 2021 and are not prescribed. They would have performed in Paris during the filming of the film The green shutters, directed by Jean Becker. The woman denouncing these facts, named Amélie and aged 53, was a production designer on the set. According to his account to Mediapart, Gérard Depardieu would have made many serious comments during filming, on September 10, 2021. He would then have “caught brutally” and he would have “kneaded the waist, the stomach, going up to her breasts”. The reported attack was reportedly interrupted by the actor’s bodyguards.
Gérard Depardieu already targeted by several complaints
According to Mediapart, another woman accuses Gérard Depardieu of touching her twice “chest and buttocks” on August 31, 2021, on the same shoot. This woman, aged 33, was third assistant director on Jean Becker’s film.
Carine Durrieu-Diebolt also defends actress Charlotte Arnould, who accuses Gérard Depardieu of having raped her in August 2018. The actor was indicted in this case. He is also the target of a complaint for sexual assault, filed by a filming assistant for facts dating back to 2014, and by a complaint for rape, filed in Spain by the writer and journalist Ruth Baza.
