A new complaint against Buitoni for another range of pizzas

This new complaint concerns the ordeal experienced by Christina, a mother from Perpignan. After eating pizza Bella Napoli ​of the Buitoni brand, the mother of the family experienced episodes of diarrhea, vomitings and severe abdominal pain. ​She was hostpitalizede for 6 days and placede on morphine​. Lthe symptoms have leads doctors on the trail of bacteria infection ​E.coli, which was confirmed by an analysis.

“You never think a pizza will kill you”

The family filed a complaint against the Nestlé group, which owns the brand, for involuntary injuries and endangering the lives of others. A new case which comes a few weeks after the opening of an investigation on March 22 by the Paris prosecutor’s office. Investigators must elucidate about fifty cases of contamination with​a bacterium E.coli, some of which were related to the consumption of Buitoni pizzas. Among these cases, there are 48 children, two of whom died. On April 6, the Caudry plant ​(North​) which made pizzas from the Fraîch’up range was closed by order of the prefecture.
