1,400 people across France would have obtained the highway code test without having passed it. The affair was revealed by the Haute-Saône gendarmes.
It only takes a few clicks on the Internet to find dozens of advertisements offering to obtain the highway code for money. France 2 contacted an Internet user. In exchange for 250 euros, it guarantees obtaining the highway code without the exam. It is this type of trafficking which has just been dismantled in Haute-Saône. In the department, around fifty people took the exam without passing it.
A manager passes the code in place of the candidates
Candidates pay money to touts who then contact an examination center located in the Paris region. It is the director of the center who takes the test himself in place of the candidates. The only risk was monitoring the success rate. In total, the manager would have received 120,000 euross. The phenomenon of false codes is growing, and worries instructors who see new entrants not knowing all the rules.
