Mandatory tests for all travelers, before boarding flights from France to these territories, had already been reinstated on Monday, November 29, facing the arrival of the fifth wave of the epidemic linked to the Delta variant. But the rule varied according to the vaccination status: PCR test of less than 48 hours or antigen test of less than 72 hours for vaccinated people, less than 24 hours for unvaccinated people.

Regarding international flights to Overseas Territories, only restrictions “locally decided by the representative of the State or the competent authority” applied until now. The obligation of a negative test for all trips to Overseas Territories “is necessary in order to protect the overseas territories from the new epidemic wave under the effect of the Omicron variant”, justifies the ministry.
