The deputies voted for it in the Laws Committee, Wednesday, December 29: a negative test for Covid-19 may be sufficient for young people from 12 to 17 years old for school trips to places subject to the next vaccination pass. An amendment in this direction carried by Caroline Abadie (LREM) was voted by the commission which examines the government project, “reinforcing the tools of management of the health crisis”.

Deputies LR, LFI, PS and also LREM Pacôme Rupin sought in vain to exempt minors from 12 to 17 years of age from a vaccination pass, stressing in particular that it was not for them under 16 to decide to vaccinated or not and that they were less prone to severe forms of the disease.

With the favorable opinion of the rapporteur Jean-Pierre Pont (LREM), the majority preferred to vote this amendment by Caroline Abadie providing for a negative test, proof of vaccination status or a certificate of recovery for school trips. It is “skin of sorrow”, “it doesn’t help much”, lamented Danièle Obono (LFI). “Anything that can be snatched for the kids, you have to snatch it”, judged on the contrary Sébastien Jumel (PCF).
