The investigators were able to identify about fifty female victims, aged 20 to 50 years.

The pimps were in charge of making sexual appointments with these women, paying them for the train and for apartments in various cities in France. The women then returned to Paris with the sum of money, which was divided in two between the pimps and the women.

Ten people, suspected of being at the head of this network, were arrested on November 30. Presented to justice last week in Paris, they were first indicted for “aggravated procuring”, “trafficking in human beings in an organized gang”, “provision of private premises for prostitution activities” and “money laundering worsen”. Seven people were remanded in custody, three others under judicial supervision.
