Humanitarian aid initiatives aimed at the Ukrainian people are multiplying everywhere in France. To list them, a digital specialist from Nantes had the idea of listing them on a website: WeUkraine. #TheyHaveTheSolution

Since the start of the war in Ukraine last Thursday, actions to help the country and its inhabitants have multiplied in France. But difficult to list them all. Camille, from Nantes, also wanted to help but without really knowing how to go about it and who to contact. She then had the idea of creating a website: WeUkraine.

I realized that there were a few press articles that reported initiatives but not where I was.

WeUkraine was born in 6 hours time. The site lists all the actions launched by associations in France to help Ukrainians. Since then, Camille’s project has grown. More than 100 volunteers are now trying to follow and respond to this wave of solidarity.

We are at almost two initiative suggestions per minute. It is enormous. We have a team of volunteers trying to validate the flow.

Volunteers are also responsible for checking the reliability and seriousness of all these actions launched in France before putting them online. Collections take place throughout the Pays de la Loire department.
