The municipality of Louvigné-du-Désert has recruited a project manager to find the European funding necessary for its projects. A winning bet for the municipality.
It is a small town among many others. But its convent was transformed into a residence for apprentices. A teleworking space opened this year with a virtual exhibition and the market is lively. It is the European Union which finances all these projects in Louvigné-du-Désert (Ille-et-Vilaine). This is also the case for an integration project which employs 12 people. Their job is to give objects a second life. It all started with an idea from the manager to launch the workshop. She followed two months of training funded entirely by the 27 countries of the European Union. The town hall would not have set up this training session without European aid.
700,000 euros
European subsidies affect the entire municipality: from 30,000 euros for the integration workshop to 90,000 euros for the apprentice residence, including 150,000 euros to promote the hiking trails and the same amount to revive the Friday market . Total grants: 700,000 euros. Enough to convince traders and residents.
