A mover prevents a tractor fire from reaching a wood

We narrowly avoided disaster. This Friday July 15 at the beginning of the afternoon, a tractor and its trailer caught fire in Saint-Pancrace in Dordogne, at a place called Bellevue on departmental 675. The gendarmes suspect an electrical problem. The tractor driver, a local cattle farmer, had just delivered grain to the cooperative when the fire broke out under his feet. He barely had time to jump out of the craft before it ignited.

A mover and the neighbors put out the fire

The fire quickly spread to the embankment, barely 100 meters from an undergrowth. Fortunately, a moving truck was passing by and the mover was able to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher he kept in his truck. He was joined by neighbors with another fire extinguisher and a garden hose. Firefighters joined them to extinguish the tractor. There were no injuries.

The fire spread to the embankment.
