A motorist ends up embedded in swings in Saint-Léonard

More fear than harm for a motorist who, after demolishing a fence, ended up in a children’s park on Saturday morning in the borough of Saint-Léonard, in Montreal.

The 43-year-old man lost control of his vehicle on boulevard des Grandes-Prairies in the borough of Saint-Léonard on Saturday morning at 8:25 a.m., crashing into the Antonino-Spada mini-park playground.

“The vehicle veered off Viau Boulevard, hit a fence, ransacked a patio set and continued its course in the park to end up in swings,” said Jean-Pierre Brabant, public relations officer for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal. (SPVM).

According to initial information from the SPVM, the driver was not under the influence of alcohol, and the police do not know what could have caused such an accident.

Fortunately, the playing area was empty at the time, and no one was hurt.
