(Trois-Rives) A 49-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition after leaving the road near Trois-Rives, in Mauricie, early Sunday evening, said the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Around 6:45 p.m., patrol officers from the Mékinac MRC were called to intervene on Route 155, near Trois-Rives.
The woman was apparently ejected from her motorcycle following contact with a road sign along Route 155, says Nicolas Scholtus, spokesperson for the SQ.
It had previously deviated from its trajectory for an unknown reason.
The woman was transported to a hospital.
“A police officer trained in collision investigations was dispatched to the scene to establish the causes and circumstances” of the event, said Mr. Scholtus.
