(Quebec) A 28-year-old man was injured late Tuesday evening by a projectile from a firearm in the borough of Beauport, in northeastern Quebec.

The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) reports that the injured person was transported to a hospital center; Wednesday morning, we no longer feared for his life.
A 21-year-old man was arrested near the scene of the shooting that occurred at the intersection of rue Francheville and boulevard Sainte-Anne. On Wednesday morning, he was questioned by SPVQ investigators and he could be charged with attempted murder later in the day in the Criminal Division of the Quebec City courthouse.
A security perimeter has been established at the intersection of rue Francheville and boulevard Sainte-Anne. The SPVQ is trying to elucidate the exact circumstances of the event.
It appears that the victim was riding a motorcycle when he was hit. It is not known whether or not the suspect was in a car.
