A mother savagely stabbed in LaSalle

A 29-year-old mother who gave birth a few weeks ago died after being savagely stabbed by an individual who fled Thursday morning in the borough of LaSalle, in Montreal.

The extremely violent crime took place shortly before 9 a.m., in the parking lot of a residential building on rue des Oblats.

According to friends of the victim met at the scene, the mother of three children, including a newborn, had just installed the little ones in her car when her assailant allegedly burst in, armed with a knife.

The police, however, did not want to confirm this information.

The suspect allegedly stabbed his victim several times, inflicting very serious injuries.

The young woman was taken to hospital in critical condition. His death was confirmed at the end of the day.

In the early afternoon, several investigators and forensic identification technicians were at the scene of this violent crime to try to understand the circumstances.

This is not the first time that a savage attack has occurred on rue des Oblats in recent years.

As recently as the spring of 2021, in the building next door, Rebekah Harry, 29, was beaten to death. Her husband, Brandon MacIntyre, 32, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his wife.
