A Montrealer whose video of her sexual intercourse had ended up on OnlyFans without her consent finally obtained justice on Monday, following the guilty plea of an Ontario couple.
“The video had been posted on Reddit, OnlyFans and other pages […] belonging to the defendants. The complainant had contacted the websites to have the images removed and, subsequently, she filed a complaint with the police”, indicates the summary of the facts filed on Monday at the Montreal courthouse.
Heads bowed, Christopher Buttenham and Kristen Bilodeau, both 32, didn’t say a word as the court learned of their crime which landed them charged in 2021 with non-consensual publication of images intimate.

It is that at the time, when the defendants were still in a relationship, they had invited a Montrealer to a “threesome” at home in Ontario. During the meeting, a video was then shot.
Except that even if the victim had never given his consent for the images to be found on the internet, Buttenham and Bilodeau decided to do it anyway, using pseudonyms with sexual connotations such as “hotwife129” and “hotlife129”. .
The video had also ended up on OnlyFans, a site where users have to pay to access content creators’ material.
But even though the footage was taken down, the charges stood. And rather than go to trial, they pleaded guilty on Monday. However, they got off with an absolution, because the victim did not wish to testify in court.
“She wanted the defendants to recognize the facts, it was important to her, we spoke to her and she is satisfied,” explained Ms.e Charles Doucet of the Crown, adding that he had thus wanted to respect the woman’s will.

Buttenham, who now teaches karate to children, as well as Bilodeau, who is studying to become a nutritionist, will therefore not have a criminal record, provided they meet a two-year probation during which they cannot approach of the victim or refer to her on social networks.
Their lawyers, Mr.are Adam Ginzburg and Valérie Black St-Laurent, however, recalled that this does not mean that the legal process was a cakewalk for them.
