François Blanchecotte notes, however, that the number of tests is starting to increase again with the resumption of the epidemic. This is particularly due to contamination in schools.

A month after the end of the free, the number of antigenic tests fell by 60%, indicates Monday, November 15 on franceinfo François Blanchecotte, the national president of the Union of biologists. “On the other hand, the level of PCR tests has remained more or less the same. We are still in the order of 130,000 per day, that is to say about 728,000 per week”, he specifies.
With the resumption of the epidemic, François Blanchecotte also indicates that “The queues are starting to form again in our laboratories, in our centers.” This need for tests is understood, according to him, by the contaminations in the school environment: “Today there is a new demand which is mainly explained by the cases of Covid discovered in schools, colleges. We have a certain number of clusters which are born in schools. Globally, we have a lot of tests in children. which are positive. “
Positive tests also mainly in French people who are not vaccinated against Covid-19, adds the president of the Union of biologists. “We also obviously had a lot of people who wanted to go on trips”, he explains. “There have been a lot of checks that have been done, but overall they are unvaccinated people”, concludes François Blanchecotte.
