Admire paintings, sculptures, from a remote village. This summer, a kind of mobile museum criss-crosses the roads of Auvergne. Something to please children, curious to discover these works on loan from the Center Pompidou.
The Pompidou Center has rolled from Paris to Pont-du-Château (Puy de Dome) thanks to MuMoa mobile museum housed in a truck. Inside, 25 works (paintings, photos or sculptures) exits from the Center Pompidou reserves. Wild or familiar, animals have always inspired artists or children.
Animals allow children to experience a first approach with creation. “These are things they know and suddenly it allows us to talk about color, framing, staging, different mediums. There are animals that are painted, animals that are photographed, there are some that are drawn“, explains Serena Evelymediator of MuMo. The nomadic museum is going to Auvergne this summer to support the candidacy of Clermont-Ferrand (Puy de Dome) as European Capital of Culture.
