Her name is Cheany Van der Jeugt and she is one of the finalists to be crowned Miss Belgium. The big ceremony will take place on February 11. But a few weeks before the big night, the young woman decided to have cosmetic surgery. She actually performed a breast reduction. The pretty blonde went from an F cup to a C cup.
In an interview given to the magazine Het Laatste Nieuws, she explains that she was fed up with “this superficial image” and then explains: “It was perhaps a risk to undergo this operation so shortly before the competition, but I am very happy to have taken it. My breasts were way too big and only sparked negativity,” she continued. “Small breasts are beautiful too, I realized that thanks to the adventure of Miss Belgium.”
A decision made thanks to the beauty contest
If to become Miss in France the use of cosmetic surgery is strictly prohibited, in Belgium, it is quite the opposite. Cheany Van der Jeugt explains that it is mainly thanks to the other candidates that she made this big decision. “My participation in Miss Belgium played an additional role in this decision. You are constantly surrounded by women with all kinds of bodies. That’s how I realized that small breasts are beautiful too. I started to accept my body better, to love it more. I am happy that my participation has brought about such a change. Finally, it’s healthier for my body. Heavy breasts can lead to shortness of breath faster when you play sports, which is not good for your heart. This breast reduction is good for everything, and I also hope to get rid of my superficial girl label. I hope to sound more natural during the election.” It only remains for Cheany Van der Jeugt to rest well before this crazy evening of February 11th.
