A minister delegate for people with disabilities will be appointed on Wednesday afternoon, September 25, France Inter learned from Matignon. A minister delegate for the Armed Forces and Veterans will also be appointed.

The absence of a minister responsible for disability in the new government team presented by Michel Barnier on September 21, had worried the associations. They deplored the loss of a direct interlocutor and feared being made invisible. The new Minister of Solidarity and Autonomy, Paul Christophe, had tried to reassure them by stating that he would have “always been committed to defending the fundamental rights of people with disabilities”.
