A Michel-Nadeau Fund to improve the management governance of NPOs

The Institute on the Governance of Private and Public Organizations and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec are launching the Michel-Nadeau Fund to support non-profit organizations (NPOs) in strengthening their management governance.

This fund is named in posthumous tribute to this former senior manager of the Institute of Governance (IGOPP) and the Caisse de dépôt, as well as a former journalist and renowned analyst in economics and finance.

The Michel-Nadeau Fund will operate by granting grants to around ten NPOs per year so that they can obtain expert consulting services from the IGOPP for the adoption of good practices in management governance.

“Thanks to the Fund, we wish to support the selected NPOs in the deployment of governance that matches their ambitions and the importance of their role in our society,” indicates François Dauphin, CEO of the Institute on Governance.

At the senior management of the Caisse de dépôt, we emphasize that Quebec has “more than 15,000 NPOs which work on a daily basis in our community and which also have to face a complex socio-economic context. »

“With the Michel-Nadeau Fund, we offer NPOs access to expertise and governance resources adapted to their reality, from a sustainability perspective,” says Ani Castonguay, Senior Vice-President, Communications and Head of Brand at the Depository.
