After several months of absence, the program “Touche pas à mon poste” made its big comeback this Monday, August 29, 2022. And if last season had been synonymous with audience records on several occasions, the recovery evening is also made history: nearly two million viewers were gathered in front of the C8 channel around 8:40 p.m., or 8.4 market share and a record for a season launch.
This new season welcomes all new columnists and marks the return of old ones like Jean-Michel Maire who is present after taking a long break. But it is also the point of no return for an emblematic member of the team who announced his departure after 12 years of good and loyal service.
A shock departure after 12 years
This Tuesday, August 30, 2022, Eric Mendes, the show’s famous room driver announced his departure on Twitter: “Friends, after 12 seasons on TPMP I have decided to stop the show. I wanted to thank everyone first Cyril Hanouna for his trust during all these years, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart“he said.
“A thank you to all the H2o production teams, the C8 management, my friends from the social security, the household baba and all the shadow teams (sounds, lights, We clap…) A big thank you to the public who came every evenings it was a pleasure to welcome you!” he then said before concluding: “Clap of the end! I wish an excellent season to Cyril and to all the columnists biiiiiiiiiiim”.
If he had been room manager since 2010, Eric Mendes had last year, played the chroniclers on several occasions and had also had the honor of presenting the 6 to 7, the time of an evening, on the occasion of his birthday.
