Anti-Semitism: a march that is not unanimous

Anti-Semitism: a march that is not unanimous – (France info)

The march against anti-Semitism, planned for Sunday in Paris at the call of the President of the Senate and the National Assembly, is turning into discord. Insoumise France will not go and the government considers that the National Rally has no place there.

The call was launched by the President of the National Assembly and the President of the Senate. Sunday November 12, a large march will be organized against anti-Semitism. In the process, Marine Le Pen calls on all of her members to join the march, but this presence sows trouble within the executive itself. Wednesday November 8, Yaël Braun-Pivet affirmed that she will not march with the National Rally.

The National Rally defends itself

There is no question either for La France insoumise of marching alongside the National Rally. Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s party will not be present. Marine Le Pen’s party is the subject of accusations of anti-Semitism which it denies. “We are a shield for our compatriots of the Jewish faith”, declared Thomas Ménage, the spokesperson for the party’s deputies. Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne will be present in the procession, with members of her government.
